The Maintenance Technician Assistant III is responsible for assisting in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical components and other equipment within the facility. This role involves performing a range of semi-skilled tasks, with a focus on ensuring the proper operation and safety of electrical systems and other mechanical equipment. The individual in this position works under limited supervision and may provide technical guidance to junior maintenance personnel. Other responsibilities include :
Electrical Maintenance (50%)
- Utilize multi-meters for AC voltage, DC voltage, and OHM measurements.
- Troubleshoot 12-volt, 24-volt, and 110-volt control circuit issues.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain photo eyes, sensors, actuators, transformers, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, and electric eyes.
- Use blueprints and wiring diagrams to plan and execute electrical repairs and installations.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace PLCs, servo drives, frequency drives, and related electronic hardware.
- Perform maintenance on electrical conduit systems, including sizing and installing conduit.
- Disassemble, inspect, reassemble, and repair malfunctioning electrical parts or equipment, including input / output boards, controllers, servos, gears, sprockets, chains, etc.
- Apply technical knowledge to ensure proper execution of assignments, using tools such as pipe benders, pipe threaders, hammers, and screwdrivers.
