The Assembly Operator Technician II position is an important role on the team and is a great opportunity for those looking to advance their skills. The Assembly Operator Technician II keeps our equipment operational by setting up, optimizing production runs and performing quality checks as needed for each machine. Here’s a list of duties that our Assembly Operator Technician II performs on a typical day:
- Perform duties to complete a wide variety of complicated machine set ups (such as dip tube changes, mechanical parts change)
- Perform quality checks/audits during a production run through visual inspection and aligned with the quality plan
- Measure, examine and test assembly units to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance conditions. Adjust machine or fixtures as necessary.
- Perform preventive maintenance on Assembly machines to maintain production equipment and reduce downtime.
- Identify efficiency improvement, cost savings and quality improvement opportunities.
- Participate in EH&S reviews
- Assist with CI activities as needed: root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Maintains accurate documentation of quality inspection results and production results
- Ensures outgoing products follow required specifications
- Escalates identified safety, quality, performance issues as may be needed.
- Performs the changing of parts e.g. changing out molds, changing out different mechanical parts, etc.
- Performs IO diagnostics inspections on machines, determining root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Possesses machine changeovers e.g. replacing bearings, replacing cams, etc.
- Generating ideas for continuous improvement and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support on time delivery by running assembly machines if need
- Other duties as assigned
Qualified Candidates must have:
- Basic shop math/computer skills
- Basic machine troubleshooting skills/ability to solve mechanical issues
- Willingness to assist other cross-functional groups based on needs
- Ability to work independently and be proactive
- Ability to analyze, interpret and report data based on machine performance.
- Min of high school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to learn, grow and adapt to changing business needs.
Preferred Candidates will have:

Physical Demands (Reasonable accommodations provided):
- Ability to lift and/or move 35 lbs.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the production floor.
- Physical requirements include but not limited to sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, stooping, crouching, color determination and grasping.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
