Auto Painter

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team, specializing in automotive painting and restoration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in using hand tools and experience in auto painting, particularly within a dealership environment. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare parts for painting by washing, sanding, and masking areas not to be painted.

• Apply paint and clear coat using spray guns and other techniques to achieve a smooth and flawless finish.

• Use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment

• Maintain inventory of painting supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or needs to management.

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety regulations and procedures.

• Occasional travel locally and internationally

• All other duties assigned

Experience:

• Familiarity with safety guidelines and practices in the use of hazardous materials.

• Experience in single stage and base coat/clear coat finishes is preferred

• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision

• Skilled in using various painting tools, such as airbrushes and paint guns

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask

• Able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds

• Certification in automotive painting is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50 - $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

Experience:

• Auto painting: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Central Falls, RI 02863 (Required)
