Job Description:
As a Fiberglass Technician, you will be responsible for the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of fiberglass components. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and durability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and repair fiberglass parts and components using established techniques.
- Prepare surfaces for lamination, including cleaning and sanding.
- Mix and apply resins, gel coats, and other materials according to specifications.
- Inspect and troubleshoot fiberglass structures for defects or issues.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure product specifications are met.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training preferred.
- Proven experience as a Fiberglass Technician or in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of fiberglass manufacturing processes and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with boat building, automotive, or aerospace applications.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in the fiberglass industry.
