Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining processes and be proficient in operating various machine tools. This role is critical in ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet precise specifications. The Machinist will work closely with engineers and other team members to produce parts that adhere to strict tolerances and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines, lathes, and other machining equipment to fabricate parts according to engineering specifications.
- 5-6 Machine Setups Per Day
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure accuracy in dimensions.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints, applying GD&T principles as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Employ hand tools effectively for assembly and finishing tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating CNC machinery, including Fanuc controls.
- Strong understanding of SolidWorks for part design and modification.
- Knowledge of GD&T principles for interpreting engineering drawings accurately.
- Ability to use micrometers, coordinate measuring machines, and other precision measuring tools effectively.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is beneficial but not required.
- Competence in using various hand tools for machining tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
