Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining extrusion machinery, ensuring the production of high-quality products. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, precision measuring instruments, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate extrusion machines to produce plastic or metal components according to specifications.
- Monitor production processes and adjust machinery settings as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, to ensure product dimensions meet specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with team members to assemble and fabricate components using hand tools and machinery such as lathes.
- Implement Lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the production process.
- Maintain accurate records of production output and machine performance.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Extrusion Operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand and troubleshoot machinery.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their application in production processes is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing techniques is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
