Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods. This role requires a strong focus on safety protocols and compliance with OSHA regulations, while performing tasks that involve heavy lifting and precise equipment handling.
- Shift: 1st Shift, 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM / 3rd Shift, 7:00PM - 3:30 Am
- Pay: $18-20/hour
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and order pickers, to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and manage stock within the warehouse management system.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform maintenance on forklifts to ensure safe operation.
- Build and organize pallets for shipment, ensuring proper stacking techniques are followed.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards.
- Assist in training new operators on safe forklift practices and warehouse procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficient in operating forklifts, including cherry pickers and order pickers, with a solid understanding of warehouse management systems.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and warehouse safety protocols.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift.
- Previous experience in a distribution center is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in loading, unloading, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and collaboration.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
