Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with various machining processes. As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to produce high-quality components while ensuring adherence to safety standards and production specifications.
Duties
- Operate and monitor laser cutting machines to produce parts from sheet metal according to specifications.
- Perform quality inspections on finished products using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet required tolerances.
- Set up and adjust machinery for optimal performance, including calibration of laser settings based on material type and thickness.
- Conduct routine maintenance on laser equipment, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with team members to assemble components and ensure efficient workflow throughout the production process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in operating CNC machines, stamping presses, or similar equipment.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes and techniques, including plasma cutting and electrical discharge machining.
- Experience using milling machines and performing quality inspections is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring precision in all aspects of work performed.
