Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in a distribution center environment and possess strong skills in warehouse management systems.
Duties
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in documentation and inventory levels.
- Utilize RF scanners to track packages and maintain inventory records.
- Perform picking and packing of orders according to specifications, ensuring quality control standards are met.
- Operate order pickers and reach trucks safely to move products within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet shipping deadlines and resolve any discrepancies in orders.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and shipments.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate counting and measuring of packages.
- Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including packaging standards.
- Ability to operate RF scanners, order pickers, and reach trucks safely.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
