Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role involves designing, fabricating, and maintaining precision tools, dies, and fixtures used in the production process. The Tool and Die Maker will work closely with engineers and production staff to ensure that all tools meet stringent quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and fabricate precision tools, dies, and fixtures based on specifications.
- Operate milling machines, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce high-quality components.
- Assemble tools and dies using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize CAD software for designing tool layouts and CAM programming for machining processes.
- Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues related to tooling or production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in operating milling machines, lathes, and other hand tools.
- Familiarity with CAD software for designing tooling solutions.
- Experience with CAM programming is a plus.
- Excellent math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
