Element6's client in Tucson, AZ is looking for a System Administrator to join their team.
Job Summary :
Maintain and assist in maintaining essential IT operations, including Network infrastructure, Data Center operation, Servers and Storage and Virtualization.
Help deliver a high standard of service by providing solutions to user requests, prioritize tasks accordingly, and identify service improvements within the team.
Assist the wider ICT System Engineering team with project work where feasible.
Escalation point for any ticket\request from L1\L2 Support team.
Primary Responsibilities :
To work with and follow the guidance of the Infrastructure Manager.
To comply with the company codes of conduct and guidelines.
Maintain and assist in maintaining essential IT operations, including Network infrastructure, Data Center operation, Servers and Storage and Virtualization.
Troubleshoot network, hardware (Server\storage\users systems) and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
Perform or verify periodic backup and restoration operations and disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
Proactively monitor system performance.
Coordinates the periodic maintenance of System updates.
Next level support for Helpdesk team to support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
Perform patching for Windows, Linux and other operating systems and third party components.

To be responsive to reasonable requests from your line manager
General implementation, configuration and support of the ICT function and systems on a day-to-day basis. This will include but is not limited to the following.
To be responsible for the administration of all incidents raised with the ICT System Engineering queue.
To establish and maintain high levels of incident ownership - resolving, progressing, and managing all calls to a satisfactory conclusion on the ICT incident management system, ensuring that appropriate parties (including the end user) are kept up to date on incident progress.
To attend emergency visits potentially at short notice on site at all offices as instructed, completing tasks as detailed by the Infrastructure manager.
Secondary Responsibilities :
Assist with and review applications
To provide training to other staff where appropriate.
To attend training, seminars and briefings if required.
To participate in the review of agreed Group research and development project
To progress personal development and encourage the development of other team members
To contribute to the team spirit within the company and undertake any other reasonable task considered appropriate by Senior Management.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :
Good troubleshooting workflow and knowledge of troubleshooting tools. Ability to solve problems with a consistent, measured approach.
Good knowledge of Networking
Installation & configuration of Router and managed Switches
Installing & configuring Firewall, VPN
Good knowledge of Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS administration and configuration.
Managing server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server / ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V / Virtual server.
Some knowledge of Linux / Unix Operating Systems
Some knowledge with PowerShell.
High levels of commitment and ability to act when necessary.
Adaptability / flexible to changing demands with the ability and willingness to work independently.
Ability to implement and manage change.
Understanding of the ITIL framework would be welcomed.
Education and Experience :
5-7 years of experience within an ICT or software providers organization.
Experience in infrastructure architecture, data centers, servers.
Good exposure to Microsoft technologies in an operational state
