What You'll Do:
As a Marketing Intern, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the exciting world of lighting. The Marketing Intern is a multi-faceted role that requires you to act in diverse capacities to support and execute internal or external company messaging through a variety of mediums (web, print, video, and social media).
This role is dedicated to the development of an individual to think quickly and creatively in a fast-paced, growing industry. You can expect to gain a new perspective in a highly collaborative office environment and share in a pool of experience with other seasoned professionals. This position holds opportunities to thrive in communication and contribute to the complicated processes of a Company that operates internationally through diverse channels of the industry. Challenge Yourself - The Specifics:
- Perform a range of administrative and technical marketing support tasks
- Develop marketing collateral within brand guidelines, encompassing swag/giveaways, sales materials, and technical documentation
- Manage multimedia content for web and print applications
- Create and maintain creative assets for distribution
- Assist in managing social media schedules and strategy
- Research company, industry, market, and competitor trends for data analysis and strategic insights
- Evaluate merchandising and sales tools within designated budgets
- Organize, interpret, and act upon pertinent information, metrics, and analytics
- Maintain databases, presentations, records, and spreadsheets
- Generate and contribute to the preparation of reports, statements, and data
Bonus Skills - Not Required, But Advantageous
- Proficiency in B2B operations
- General understanding of e-commerce site functionality, including Amazon, Magento, Shopify, and similar tools
- Understanding of specialized uses of social media and online corporate identity enrichment
- Basic understanding of HTML and web functionality
- Experience with digital image formatting using Adobe suite
General Knowledge
- Business arithmetic and basic financial terms, concepts, and principles
- Record-keeping principles and procedures
- Modern office practices, methods, computer equipment, and computer applications related to work, including word processing, slide presentations, and spreadsheets
- Techniques for providing a high level of customer service by effectively dealing with the public, vendors, contractors, and staff
- Photographic and video graphic skills
- Basic layout and design skills
Education and Experience
- Enrollment as a Junior or Senior in a bachelor’s degree program in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics at an accredited college/university or equivalent training and experience
- Experience in Adobe software, such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom is recommended, but not required
- Strong understanding of writing, grammar, and copywriting principles
