South Lane School District is excited to provide summer school this summer for elementary students, high school students who are credit deficient, and potentially middle school students. Please see details about summer school and the positions needed below:
Elementary Summer School at Harrison Elementary
Elementary Details:
- 4 days per week
- 3.5 hours of instruction and enrichment*
Potential Staff Needs (3.5-4 hours per day):
- Up to 6 teachers
- Up to 6 classroom EAs
- 1 Secretary/Office Manager
- 1 Nurse/Assistant
- 1 EA/Translator
- 1 SEL Specialist/Counselor
High School Credit Recovery Program Details:
- 4 days per week
- 3.5 hrs/day
Potential Staff Needs (3.5-4.5 hours per day):
- Up to 4 Core Teachers (ELA/MA/SC/SS)
- Up to 4 EAs
- 1 Secretary/Office Manager
Qualifications
Teachers must hold a current Oregon Teaching License with proper endorsement to teach in an area of interest. Experience with extended year programs, academic interventions, trauma informed care, project based learning and ability to speak Spanish or Mam preferred.
Compensation
Certified—Internal applicants will be paid at the same rate of pay as during the school year. External applicants will be placed on the salary schedule as per the contract.
Classified—Pay rate determined as per contract (same rate of pay as during school year if performing the same duties, or appropriate placement on the salary scale)
Teachers will be compensated for 16 hours of curriculum development in addition to the summer school hours.
