About Our Corporate Counsel:

The successful candidate will focus on supporting the business on a broad range of contracts, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts. The successful candidate will  play an integral role in developing and managing contract processes and must be comfortable doing administrative work.

Job Responsibilities:       

• Help manage the corporate governance of multiple entities.
• Review and analyze routine and complex contracts including NDAs, SOWs, master service agreements, licensing agreements, and SaaS agreements.
• Provide legal advice and guidance on contract risks, compliance, controls, and dispute resolution.
• Help develop and oversee contract matters from intake through execution and assist with contract management and administration.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of contract policies, procedures and standards.
• Assist the Compliance, Risk, and Audit teams as needed.

Required Qualifications:              

• Ability to provide practical, solution-oriented legal services and advice.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing business environment and needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with others at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Admission to the practice of law in Virginia or be admitted in another state and eligible for corporate counsel admission in Virginia.

Preferred Qualifications:             

• Although some experience is preferred, we will consider training and developing strong candidates that possess the skills and attitude to thrive in our culture.
• Familiarity with property and casualty insurance is helpful. Work will involve reviewing IT, Product, Pricing, Claims, Marketing, and Agency contracts for an auto insurance company and insurance agency.

Location:

• WFH - Work from Home

Salary:

• $80,000 – $100,000
