About the job
We are seeking a fun, enthusiastic, and hard-working cook for our picturesque South Waterfront location at OHSU's Collaborative Life Science Building. Are you a people-person? Do you absolutely thrive in an open kitchen? Do you like taking orders directly from customers and discussing our fresh, local, high-quality food?
We need a grill guru with a fantastic attitude. Each day you will help set or close the store and maintain the steam table, prep, and help guests by serving up our famous soup, fry up an egg or two, and press panini on request. You should be helpful toward customers, greet each customer, and assure them a sincere welcome and interest in their shopping experience.
This job requires exemplary customer service, ability to multitask and converse with customers, and an ability to maintain an efficient workflow when busy. This person would be responsible for prepping, cooking, and executing a smooth service.
Our ideal candidate will have a year of cooking experience, strong organizational and knife skills, and will be self-motivated! As this is an open kitchen, applicant must enjoy and be consistently oriented toward customer service and be self-aware during all interactions! A food handlers’ card is required for this position.
