POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Job Coach, you will work collaboratively with the Elev8 Success Coordinator, Community School Coordinators, clinical team, and program management to support students enrolled in the Elev8 Workforce Development Program. Your goal is to help students build the skills necessary to secure part-time or full-time employment, internships, and post-secondary opportunities.
The Elev8 Pathways to Success Workforce Program serves high school age youth (ages 16 to 21) attending Elev8 partner schools, including Youth Opportunity, Career Academy, Eager Street Academy, and South Baltimore Adult High School, as well as youth participating in YouthWorks or other Elev8 workforce initiatives. In this role, you lead ongoing workshops, coordinate workplace site visits, and assist in developing new employment partnerships. You will be required to have the ability to travel to workplace locations weekly.

Responsibilities:
- Lead weekly workshops aligned with workforce development strategies, including resume writing, interviewing skills, conflict resolution, and effective communication.
- Conduct regular employment site visits to support students in applying learned skills in real-world settings.
- Collaborate with Elev8 staff and partners to support student development and success.
- Accurately complete required documentation and paperwork in a timely manner, including case notes in Apricot 360 or other assigned platforms to track attendance, participation, milestones, and student progress
- Promote and support student enrollment in YouthWorks, Grads2Careers, and other emerging post-secondary workforce opportunities.
- Support the development and maintenance of partnerships with employment providers and community-based organizations.
- Prepare timely and accurate reports for internal stakeholders, program partners, and funding sources.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation across Elev8 systems and external databases
- Attend mandatory departmental and agency-wide meetings and events.
- Participate in all required training sessions and maintain compliance with agency policies and procedures.
- Meet regularly with supervisor to review goals, progress, and challenges.
- Collaborate with Elev8 staff and partners to plan and facilitate youth programming and events.
- Demonstrate cultural competency and a strong commitment to equity, student voice, and positive youth development.
- Uphold the mission, values, and equity commitments of Elev8 Baltimore, especially in service to communities of color.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Required
Required
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in youth development
- Knowledge of workforce systems and employment and internship opportunities in Baltimore
- Experience serving older youth
- Excellent writing and presentation skills with experience communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Proficient in MS Office, data collection software, evaluation platforms and tools
- Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement provided aligned with organizational standards)
- Ability to travel to different workplace locations weekly
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, human resources, or related field preferred.
- Baltimore City residency is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to working in service of youth, marginalized communities and communities experiencing the systematic effects of concentrated poverty.
