Established commercial construction company seeking a Construction Coordinator. We are looking for experienced and dynamic candidates with a background in commercial construction and project management to join our team and grow with us!
The Construction Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in coordinating the activities of a project including permitting, cost control, scheduling, document, and quality control.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage administrative project aspects including project plans, proposals, and project documents/contracts/scopes of work
- Maintain project schedule as directed by Superintendents
- Responsible for submitting, tracking, and obtaining permits and/or revisions including frequently visiting municipalities to ensure an expedited process avoiding project delays.
- Assist project management personnel with monthly pay requisitions and liaise with accounting
- Assisting In Subcontract management
- Maintain all project logs (drawings, submittals, permits, RFI’s, etc.)
- Ensuring safety compliance and documentation
- Attending and documenting weekly project meetings
- Photo documentation of the project
- Prepare closeout documents, including warranties, as-built drawings, punch lists, etc.
- Facilitate communication between project staff and corporate office
- Assist in the communication and information flow between superintendents and subcontractors’ management
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in commercial construction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- General understanding of construction terms and processes
- General understanding of construction accounting principals
- Multi-tasking, team player willing to work in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to effectively and confidently communicate with sub-contractors, managers, and co-workers
- Ability to work well in the field environment
- Ability to prioritize and plan, and to use time efficiently
- Ability to identify and resolve problems
- Knowledge in Excel, Word, and scheduling software (MS Project); required
- Follows instructions, and responds to management direction.
Other requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent certification
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be willing to take a drug test and consent to background check
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
