Facilities Manager

Location: Jensen Beach, FL

Salary: $50K-$55K/yr.

Job Summary: Reporting to the General Manager, the Facilities Manager at Elev8 Fun is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facility, ensuring that it remains in excellent condition for events, performances, and recreational activities. This role involves managing maintenance staff, overseeing building systems, handling safety protocols, and ensuring that the venue is prepared for all guest, performer, and staff needs. The Facilities Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining a seamless experience for patrons and participants.

What You’ll Do:

• Supervises the facilities maintenance team, including janitors, technicians, and contractors.
• Provides guidance, training, and support to ensure a high standard of work and efficiency.
• Manages and oversees the maintenance and repair, along with the cleanliness and upkeep of all parish buildings, including mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Manages the maintenance staff and maintaining the functionality of tools, vehicles and power equipment.
• Supervises or personally conducts grounds maintenance, preventative maintenance, safety audits and energy conservation initiatives.
• Works with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, upgrades, or projects, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
• Works closely with event coordinators, production teams, and other departments to ensure the facility is set up, cleaned, and prepared for events, performances, and activities.
• Oversees the set-up of stages, seating, equipment, and other venue-specific needs.
• Ensures the facility is compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding safety, health, and accessibility.
• Oversees emergency procedures, fire safety, and other safety protocols, and ensure that the venue is prepared for any emergency situations.
• Manages the facilities budget, including planning for repairs, upgrades, and maintenance. Identifies cost-effective solutions for repairs and improvements, and track spending to stay within budget.
• Implements sustainability and energy-saving initiatives, including waste management programs, recycling, and energy-efficient upgrades.
• Ensures that facilities, including restrooms, seating areas, and outdoor spaces, are clean, well-maintained, and accessible to all guests. Addresses any facility-related issues that may affect guest experience.
• Oversees the inventory of maintenance supplies and ensure adequate stock levels for routine repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Responds to facility emergencies and breakdowns in a timely manner, minimizing disruption to events or operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or business management.
• 5 years of experience in facilities management.
• Family Entertainment Center experience recommended.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team of maintenance personnel and contractors.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, especially in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
• Ensure that all areas of the venue meet cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with staff, management, vendors, and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems. Experience with venue-specific systems, such as lighting and sound equipment, is a plus.
• Ability to manage a budget, track expenses, and make cost-effective decisions related to building maintenance and upgrades.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 15 pounds.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Able to travel as needed.
