CareBridge Health exists to enable individuals in home and community-based settings to maximize their health, independence, and quality of life through home-care and community based services.Shift : Monday – Friday; 8 : 00am – 5 : 00pm CTLocation : Virtual; Within 50 miles of any Elevance Health PulsePoint officeThe Coding Analyst Senior is responsible for reviewing, auditing, and coding medical records for the purpose of ensuring consistent and complete diagnostic accuracy, training, education and compliance.How you will make an impact : Audits and reviews medical documentation for appropriate ICD-10 and CPT / CPT II coding and documentation.Queries physicians or providers when code assignments are not straightforward, or documentation is unclear.Trains and educates others on coding documentation, claim payment guidelines, and related issues.Reviews CPT / CPT II and ICD-10 codes annually for accuracy and implements changes.Assists physicians and providers with questions and problems related to coding, documentation, and billing.Serves as a resource to Coding Analysts.Minimum Requirements : Requires a H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.Certified Medical Code (CPC or CCS-P) required.Preferred skills, capabilities, and experiences : Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy strongly preferred.Experience with the most current CMS Risk Adjustment Model strongly preferred.AAPC Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) is preferredPlease be advised that Elevance Health only accepts resumes for compensation from agencies that have a signed agreement with Elevance Health.
