Location : Alternate locations may be considered. This position will work in a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The Director II, Reporting & Data Analytics will be responsible for leading the strategic data efforts for the Actuarial business segments. This role will involve high-level strategy development, execution, and evaluation of data reporting and analytics to support Medicare and Medicaid operations, compliance, and growth initiatives. The incumbent will be responsible for directing multiple teams, including people managers, to drive process improvement, analysis, and data integration.

How you will make an impact :

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of a strategic data analytics roadmap to enhance Medicare and Medicaid analysis, delivery, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align data strategies with both Medicare and Medicaid business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison for Medicare and Medicaid data initiatives, engaging with key stakeholders, to develop roadmaps and implement data and analytic solutions
  • Provide insights and recommendations to business partners based on data and best practices guide improvements in the Medicare and Medicaid segments
  • Lead and support a diverse team including people managers, ensuring they are equipped to advance the data capabilities specific to Medicare and Medicaid requirements
  • Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of direct reports
  • Implement and manage data governance structures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations specific to Medicare and Medicaid
  • Oversee data quality initiatives to maintain the accuracy and reliability of the data used in reporting and decision-making
  • Lead initiatives to streamline and enhance data workflows and processes, improving accuracy and efficiency in Medicare and Medicaid segments
  • Identify and drive adoption of new technologies and platforms that enhance Medicare and Medicaid data analytics capabilities
  • Guide Medicare and Medicaid segments through data and technology transformations, ensuring smooth transitions and stakeholder buy-in
  • Develop and execute change management plans to support the adoption of new analytics tools and processes
  • Manages departmental budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and the alignment of resource allocation with strategic priorities

Minimum Requirements :

Requires a BA / BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in a broad-based analytical environment as well as minimum of 5 years leadership experience in the healthcare industry or large multi-operational corporate environment, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences :

  • MA / MS degree highly preferred
  • Prior leadership / management experience is preferred
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the capability to handle multiple priorities and drive results
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail
  • In-depth understanding of current trends, challenges, and opportunities in data analytics and reporting
