Please note - This role WILL require working onsite at least part of the work week.
Responsible for providing the company with accurate and timely controls of general ledger account reconciliation's and the preparation of journal entries.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Assists with monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis.
- Prepares accounting report schedules, monthly journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Reviews and verifies accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
- Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, locations, and divisions.
Requirements:
- Requires a BA/BS; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- 1-2 years directly related experience preferred.
- High level Excel user.
- Essbase or Cognos experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently on workbooks, developing analysis, reports, and graphs to explain financial results.
- Behavioral health insurance background helpful.
- Must have good experience.
Job Type: Contract with potential to hire.
Additional Details:
- Work location: 500 Enterprise Drive, Rocky Hill, CT, USA 06067.
- Shifts 8:30-5:00.
- Preferable to be near Boston for office days (State Street, Boston).
Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, contractors are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
