Responsible for developing and maintaining new contacts and/or partnerships in the community.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Leads and manages strategies within a specific territory or business initiative.
- Acts as liaison with community advocacy groups that impacts target population.
- Identifies, develops and builds relationships with community organizations, provider offices, and faith based organizations; performs activities to enhance presence in the community.
- Assists members and potential members with benefit and/or enrollments inquiries.
- Identifies cultural issues regarding current and potential members and communicate issues to management.
- Tracks all marketing and sales activities and maintains sales database.
- Conducts marketing presentations to increase effectiveness in establishing rapport, assessing individual needs, and communicating product/benefit features and differences.
Requirements:
- Requires a HS diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare or sales/marketing environment; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- AD or BA/BS preferred.
- Knowledge about provider network that supports the delivery area, knowledge of plan and/or competitors value added benefits preferred.
- Valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle with valid motor vehicle insurance required.
- State health insurance licensure preferred.
- Insurance license may be required dependent on state.
- This role is responsible for participating (and sometimes developing) Community Engagement events.
- Candidates will engage potential members sharing (Medicaid) benefits and promoting the Wellpoint brand in the community.
- Energetic, personable, forward thinking, knowledge about healthcare and managed care.
- Must be able to lift 20lbs.

Additional Details:
- Work Schedule: Monday -Friday (8:00am-5:00pm)
- Candidates should reside in the KNOXVILLE Area. (Within 50 miles of Elevance PulsePoint location: 4221 Asheville Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37914)
- Candidates will work in the field 4x/wk -1-day home office for planning and documentation into Sales Force.
- Candidates will train on the system and must possess excellent communication skills, be engaging and professional, and have technical expertise.
Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, contractors are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
