The Marketing Research Senior Analyst is responsible for managing the development, execution, and use of timely, actionable data, market, and audience research to help grow the business, transform the customer experience, and engage/retain our audiences. Responsible for research planning, implementation, and incorporation of research findings.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Assesses business situations and prepares proposals in response to business needs for both primary and secondary research.
- Designs data collection tools and works with vendors to collect data, analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
- Determines sources of secondary data, including pre-existing primary research, and retrieves and analyzes data.
- Writes reports and recommendations incorporating findings from both primary and secondary research.
- Serves as a project lead and oversees work of the Market Research Analysts.
- Strategically outlines and sources campaign performance data, tying research and data together to deliver a complete picture of Marketing campaign performance.
- Leverages primary and secondary research and data insights to proactively identify and assess Marketing and business opportunities to create value for our audiences and our business.
- Identifies opportunities to leverage existing or new data sources and strives to find efficiencies (data, operational, cost, etc.) in current survey programs.
- Provides research expertise to support the business planning process at the business unit and enterprise level and to assist in the development of survey programs.
- Executes on all aspects of the research lifecycle including initial preparation of proposals in response to business needs, defining sampling criteria, questionnaire development, survey programming and QA, data analysis, and report preparation.
Requirements:
- Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Health insurance or managed care experience preferred.
- Insurance license may be required dependent on state.
- Solid understanding of health insurance industry and statistical analysis software such as SAS and SPSS strongly preferred.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Comfortability learning and using enterprise data systems.
- Proficiency in using Excel, SPS, etc. for data cleaning and analysis.
- Familiarity with day-to-day vendor and internal stakeholder management.
- Experience utilizing self-serve survey platforms (survey building/programming, field monitoring, data processing, etc.).
- Experience with Marketing campaign reporting and analysis.
- Experience in health insurance or healthcare industry a plus.
Job Type: Contract with potential to hire.
Additional Details:
- Remote, WFH opportunity.
- Monday-Friday 9am ET - 5pm ET.
Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, contractors are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
