Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for overseeing patient check-in, registration, and checkout/ payment collection, email and fax follow up.
- Oversees staff and processes for check-in, verifying charts are pulled for scheduled appointments, demographics/eligibility is updated, and current forms are being utilized.
- Listens and responds to patient and/or family members concerns.
- Responds to patient questions and complaints, routes issues to appropriate personnel.
- Analyzes daily administrative operations and utilization of resources.
- Assists in Medic user issues.
- Ensures proper cash controls are in place and policy and procedures are followed.
- Providing remote coverage for administrative needs: intake process for new referrals, following up on pending referrals/reports, engaging with local management to a facilitate referral pull through, communicate with the sales team and referral sources, as well as interdepartmental communication.
Requirements:
- Requires a HS diploma and a minimum of 1 year of lead/supervisory experience in a health care environment; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- For Carelon Health business units, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.
- Medication terminology, maintain attention to detail in a multi stimuli environment, superb customer service, proficient with multiple computer systems (i.e. outlook, Microsoft products, EMR systems), proficiency with insurance terminology and processes.
Job Type: Possible Contract to hire

- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (8:00am-4:00pm)
- Onsite work location: 2160 GULF TO BAY BLVD Clearwater, FL, USA, 33765.
- Will work in a care center, assisted living, clinic, member home, or have access to medication.
Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Unless specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, contractors are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process. Candidates must reside within 50 miles or 1-hour commute each way of a relevant Elevance Health location.
