We are looking for a Director of Asset Management to join our team and drive the performance of our portfolio through strategic planning, operational oversight, and financial optimization. This is a high-impact role that will play a key part in shaping the success of our assets and ensuring maximum returns.
Job Summary:
As the Director of Asset Management, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial and operational performance of our commercial real estate portfolio, including multifamily properties. You will work closely with property management, acquisitions, and executive leadership to drive NOI growth, optimize asset value, and ensure strategic execution of business plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Performance & Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategic asset management plans to maximize cash flow, NOI, and asset value.
- Monitor financial performance of each asset, identifying opportunities for revenue growth and expense optimization.
- Lead quarterly and annual portfolio reviews, providing executive-level reporting on financial performance, market conditions, and risk assessment.
Operational Oversight:
- Work closely with Elevate Real Estate Management to ensure properties are being managed efficiently and in alignment with investment objectives.
- Oversee capital improvement projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met while adding long-term value.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement best practices to enhance property performance.
Investor Relations & Reporting:
- Provide detailed reporting and financial analysis to investors, partners, and executive leadership.
- Ensure compliance with lender requirements, debt covenants, and financial reporting standards.
- Assist in preparing investor updates, quarterly reports, and asset-level presentations.
Market Analysis & Risk Management:
- Stay up-to-date with real estate market trends, identifying opportunities and risks within the portfolio.
- Evaluate refinancing, disposition, and acquisition opportunities in alignment with investment objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend strategies for mitigating exposure to economic downturns and market shifts.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in asset management, real estate investment, or property management with a focus on commercial real estate (multifamily experience preferred).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Proficiency in Excel, Entrata, Yardi, CoStar, and other real estate financial software.
- Deep understanding of market trends, property operations, and asset optimization strategies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Certifications (Preferred): CCIM, CPM, or CFA designation is a plus.
