ELEVATE Construction, an Omaha based commercial General Contractor is seeking a Construction Project Accounting Administrator. The position will be responsible for providing essential administrative support for construction projects while overseeing accounting-related tasks including customer collections, accounts receivable and payables to include time and material billings and progress billings.. This dual-focused role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and excels in multitasking, ensuring seamless project coordination and financial accuracy. The successful candidate must have general construction accounting experience, be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, be attentive to detail, and possess excellent organization and personal communications skills.

As a Construction Project Accounting Administrator, your primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee the invoicing and processing of all Accounts Receivable. Ensure deposits are made accurately and within established deadlines
- Prepare and track project budgets, invoices, and cost reports
- Prepare and track monthly AIA billings
- Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing
- Cash management, including day-to-day administration of accounts payable
- Analyze actual production and material costs and prepare reports comparing estimated vs. actual costs
- Issue PO’s to vendors
- Responsible for all monthly WIP report analysis, including all accounting related entries
- Assist in payroll preparation and processing in conjunction with PEO
- Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations to complete the month-end close process
- Reconcile financial data and prepare accurate documentation for project audits.
- Provide financial reporting and support to operations personnel as needed
- Work closely with subcontractors and vendors to ensure accurate invoice processing
- Evaluate and make recommendations to improve and standardize processes and procedures
What You Bring to Us:
- 3 years of accounting experience preferred
- BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field is preferred
- Familiarity with AIA billing and lien waivers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Proficiency in Quickbooks is required
- Knowledge with construction-based companies is preferred
- Experience with Procore or similar project management software preferred
- Knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.).
- Team player with positive attitude who will contribute to building a positive team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to recognize discrepancies
- Self-motivated individual that can set goals for self and others, in addition to being punctual and accountable
- Effective oral and written communication skills along with interpersonal skills needed to work with diverse personalities and accurately document all processes
