We have an exciting opening for a Workforce Development Manager in our (hybrid) Tacoma office. As Workforce Development Manager, you will be designing, implementing, and overseeing effective training and professional development programs that align with the organization’s strategic goals and statewide initiatives for workforce development. You will be conducting needs assessments to identify skills gaps, developing engaging multimodal learning materials, and utilizing various instructional delivery methods to support the community-based health workers’ development and enhance quality of community care. You will also be responsible for tracking training program effectiveness through performance metrics, budget management, sourcing external training providers and/or curricula where necessary, and staying updated on trends in community-based workforce development initiatives on a statewide and nationwide level.

 

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Training Development

  • Maintain strong knowledge of trends, strategies, methodologies, and curricula in delivering and supporting community-based care coordination. 
  • Develop a workforce plan in alignment with Elevate Health’s overarching initiatives to effectively accelerate and enrich learning and development among the contracted workforce and other stakeholders within the network.
  • Develop and implement innovative learning strategies, methodologies, and curricula based on workforce needs analysis.
  • Design and implement learning resources, including training materials, guides, toolkits, videos, and e-learning modules.
  • Engage with external community-based workforce groups, training vendors, educational institutions, and industry partners to leverage resources and expertise in learning and development.
  • Source and schedule external training vendors for workforce and community training events as needed.
  • Curate and adapt existing learning content from internal and external sources to meet the diverse needs of the community-based workforce.

Performance Assessment and Management

  • Foster collaboration and communication with internal teams, community-based workforce partners, regional Accountable Communities of Health and other external partners regarding needs assessment, alignment, minimum competencies, and learning strategies.
  • Monitor contracted workforce for compliance and establishes metrics and feedback methods to assess the effectiveness and impact of learning programs on individual and organizational performance.
  • Develop strategic visuals of learning data to foster informed and data-driven programming decisions.

HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 2-5 years’ experience specifically related to adult skills learning and leadership development.
  • Any combination of education, professional, volunteer and lived experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties and responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience designing and implementing curriculum through Blackboard, Canvas, or a similar Learning Management System.
  • 3 years’ experience in non-profit sector or other public or private community-serving organization.
  • 3 years’ experience as a Community Health Worker or other community-based social service role.
