We are seeking a Senior High Voltage Cable Design Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and optimization of underground HV / EHV transmission cable systems. This role involves creating system solutions, improving operational processes, supporting manufacturing, and training junior engineers while ensuring alignment with industry standards. The position requires expertise in electrical engineering and a strong understanding of high-voltage equipment to deliver cost-effective solutions and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design complete HV / EHV cable system solutions (69kV500kV), including accessories, link boxes, fiber optic components, grounding, and bonding schemes, using advanced tools and methodologies.
- Study and model the electro-mechanical behavior of cable systems to support installations and field applications.
- Prepare and revise specifications, proposals, and safety documents in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Project Management teams.
- Support manufacturing by creating testing plans, resolving production issues, and facilitating communication between production, installation, and customers.
- Lead investigations, develop solutions, and prepare recommendations on technical challenges.
- Execute Research & Development projects, managing timelines, budgets, and logistics using the Stage Gate process.
- Represent the engineering team in customer meetings, industry forums, and conferences, including delivering formal presentations and training seminars.
- Train and mentor junior engineers on calculations, designs, and project management.
- Promote workplace safety and compliance at all project sites.
