QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Job Summary: The Operations Specialist acts as a crucial extension of the sales team, ensuring seamless support for various logistical and material-related tasks. Their responsibilities include managing material transfers, coordinating material fabrications, and overseeing material inspections to maintain quality and compliance standards. An Operations Specialist will handle the full management of transactions, from initiation to completion, including receipts, shipments, vendor pricing, adjustments, fabrication of company’s material assets, and invoicing; ensuring all processes are efficiently executed and meeting specified deadlines. This role involves close collaboration with the sales team to facilitate the timely and accurate completion of all transactions, ultimately supporting the overall sales objectives. In addition, an Operations Specialist will perform tasks in support of company operations, sales, and accounting functions. Responsibilities:
- Process transfers and fabrications utilizing supporting documentation and proprietary software
- Understand the capability of each vendor and procure services that achieve the best performance and value for BLPS
- Ensure BLPS Internal Controls are followed
- Support Sales, Claims, Asset Management as required
- Assist Sales personnel in identifying the correct inventory for sales transactions
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Communicate effectively with peers and vendors
Education:
- High School graduate at minimum, College graduate, BBA in Business or related degree preferred
Preferred Skills:
- Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to work under pressure
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity of an Inventory and Procurement ERP, preferably in Oil & Gas
