Summary
We are looking for a compassionate and dynamic Preschool Director who is passionate about early childhood education and fostering a positive, inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the Nurtured Heart Approach, and the ability to guide a dedicated team of educators while maintaining a nurturing atmosphere for children. This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, implementing curriculum, and ensuring a safe and supportive space for both staff and students. Responsibilities
- Promote a positive preschool culture that reflects the values of kindness, respect, and inclusion
- Coordinate staff schedules and classroom assignments.
- Oversee preschool enrollment, including communication with prospective families and conducting tours.
- Handle administrative duties including budgeting, payroll, and maintaining records.
- Oversee daily operations of the preschool, ensuring a safe, positive, and supportive environment for children and staff.
- Implement and maintain curriculum in alignment with preschool’s mission and philosophy.
- Lead, mentor, and manage teaching staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a nurturing atmosphere based on the Nurtured Heart Approach to encourage positive behavior and emotional growth.
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing constructive feedback and conducting regular performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements.
- Collaborate with parents to support children’s development and address any concerns or needs.
Qualifications
- Higher education experience in early childhood education or a related field.
- Experience in preschool or childcare administration and leadership.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Passion for fostering a positive, enriching environment where children thrive.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
