Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead the financial close processes and drive improvements across accounting operations. This hybrid position is based in Los Angeles, and provides a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Facilitate regular reviews, provide mentorship, and set clear developmental goals for team members.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership to align accounting initiatives with broader organizational objectives.
• Process Optimization: Lead efforts to integrate systems and streamline accounting processes, focusing on efficiency and accuracy.
• Financial Close Management: Oversee a timely and accurate close process, maintaining compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Reconciliation Oversight: Ensure accuracy by preparing and reviewing large data reconciliations across multiple platforms.
• Financial Analysis: Review and analyze key financial accounts, providing actionable insights to enhance decision-making.
• Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in GAAP compliance, leading the adoption of new accounting standards and drafting technical memos.
• Audit Coordination: Manage external audit preparations and serve as the primary liaison for audit processes.
• Reporting Excellence: Deliver detailed financial reports tailored to various business units, ensuring strategic insights.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency and implement best practices in accounting procedures.
• Variance Analysis: Provide comprehensive monthly budget variance explanations to support financial planning and decision-making.

Qualifications

• CPA license (required) with minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting principles.
