Field Technician

This Field Technician position will grow with the company and be given responsibility for installing and supporting multiple SMB customer's onsite IT, including their desktop, server and network support.

The candidate will be in a position with opportunity to learn and develop extensive skills. You will have the support of our in house Help Desk and Engineering Departments as a resource to team with you on making the client's experience as seamless as possible.

Job Role Expectations:

• Must be extremely patient and have great communication skills, giving the highest level of customer service, follow up and regard for the client's working environment.

• Daily onsite visits to client offices, including fulfilling special projects, checking in on deskside support needs and build rapport with the client.

• Determine escalations and create tickets for future follow up.

• Continuous and thorough communication to team internally of onsite visits, ensuring client experience is consistent.

• Identify improvements at client sites and present suggestions/ideas to team internally.

• The technician needs to be able to communicate clearly the methods of operation that are required, as well as successfully implement them.

• In-depth solution reporting and document processes.

• Should be capable to execute all aspects of computer repair, maintenance and security to include everything from physical cleaning of components, to detailed software diagnosis.

• Duties also include physical networking functions such as running networking cables between computer stations, servers, switches for the purposes of networking computers together.

• Mechanical knowledge of wiring schema, tools, and layouts with regards to how wires are run in ceilings, walls and fixtures.

• Basic understanding of telecom and security wiring and schema is recommended.

• Intercompany tasks as needed.

• Education and/or Experience: Associates degree or trade certification in computer related fields or equivalent; or up to 3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Must have excellent writing and verbal business communication skills.

• Available for some project implementation after business hours.

• Must pass a national background check.
