What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sharepoint Administrator position at Elevate Textiles?
Elevate Textiles is seeking a Sharepoint Administrator to work as part of our IT Services global team. The Sharepoint Admin works closely with business users, developers, system administrators and management teams from around the world to deliver scalable solutions that meet the global business needs. This includes managing partners to maintain the technical infrastructure; ensuring secure environments, best practice operational processes are in place and adhered to; providing recommendations on improvements; providing technical analysis on business projects; recommending changes to policy and procedure; and driving efficiencies through optimization and automation. Apply communication and problem-solving skills to actively assist the business on issues related to the design, development, deployment and operation of our Intranet toolset.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet with User groups to understand the way they work, identify toolsets and facilitate the introduction and adoption of collaborative tools and methodologies.
- Help lead major collaborative projects aimed at improving operational efficiencies within the organization.
- Provide project leadership when interfacing and coordinating projects with users, applications, operations, and technical support teams.
- Vendor Management – work with and develop relationship with technical vendor to support the environment and continually improve the toolset.
- Microsoft SharePoint/Teams web structure administration.
- Project Portfolio – help administer the IT Project Portfolio.
- Manage projects and keep on top of assigned tasks
- Mentor users on how to manage/maintain their sites. This may include a variety of techniques such as posting news articles, creating videos as well as hosting webinars/meetings.
- Support- troubleshooting issues with toolset and staying abreast on changes within the environment.
- Propose security challenges and help implement solutions
- Participation in global team meetings which may require after hour meetings
- Ensure security of sites and implement strategies to keep Sharepoint environment security risk low.
- Review sites on a periodic basis for usage, develop strategy for review and action needed
- Develop DLP, tags and other data security identifiers
- Stay abreast of Microsoft changes with Sharepoint and Teams and full collaboration toolset
- Coordinate training events and train end users around the world as needed
- Conduct and attend meetings outside of normal working hours
- Other duties that may be assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or related field of study highly desired but not required.
- Sharepoint experience is required
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to translate requests from non-technical business users into technical requirements.
- Experience troubleshooting and interpreting complex technology problems and ability to resolve.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of Sharepoint and O365 required
- Interpersonal skills - listens to others, works well in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills including written and verbal; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.
- Excellent planning and organization skills, ability to prioritize work activities and use time effectively and the ability to multi-task.
