This Account Executive role will be part of a groundbreaking collaboration between two powerhouse brands in Penn State Athletics and Elevate! In this role you will be jumping right into the largest renovation project in college sports history, and contributing not only to the legacy of one of the biggest college brands out there but, getting to leave your own mark in the process. This role offers one of the best opportunities you could ask for as far as immediate impact, project profile, and ability to lay a strong foundation for your career in the growing space of college athletics here at Elevate.
Responsibilities:
Our Account Executive position will have a primary focus on revenue generation related to tickets. The impact may come in a variety of ways between selling new business to everyday fans and/or corporations, group sales, and servicing and retaining our current season ticket holder base.
- Quickly respond, resolve and proactively anticipate customer challenges, complaints, requests and inquiries
- Effectively qualify and service incoming calls and/or in person meetings to customer satisfaction
- Support the ticketing department to meet or exceed yearly goals
- Meet or exceed assigned revenue goals whether that be through new business or retention efforts.
- Aid in data and research
- Generate new business focused on all ticketed Penn State Athletics sporting events by way of phone, email, website chat, and social to sell season tickets, partial plans, and group tickets
- Accountable to consistently hitting or exceeding the things we can’t teach “hustle stats” (calls, emails, activities, etc.)
- Maintain updated records and communication with all clients within the CRM system
- Assist (as needed) in development, coordination, and implementation of game day activities
- Providing elite service to all clients you interact with - including day-to-day tasks, written correspondence, phone calls, account inquiries, follow-ups, etc.
- Work with management to always review and assess current and prospective program enhancements to better the experience for our fans
- Strive to not only hit individual goals, but aid in assisting our entire department's goals

- Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience required
- Ideally 2-4 years of sales experience within sports industry or ticketing specifically
- Experience in using either Microsoft or Google products but not required
- Ticketing or CRM system experience a bonus, but not required
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Coachability and a growth mindset in a fast-paced environment and changing landscape
- Ideal candidate will be self-motivated, team and career oriented
- Must have ability to maintain professional behavior and appearance at all times
- Must have a strong sense of self-awareness and emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
- Must have good decision making skills, solid judgment and interpersonal effectiveness
- Must be able to work independently and multi-task
- Must be able to retain and stay well versed on policies and procedures and be effective in relaying them to current or prospective customers
- Must possess strong communication skills; be comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong, active listening skills
