Role purpose:

The Assessment Analyst will support a strategic LRQA customer in developing positive and productive working relationships with the client, vendors and factories globally, and drive social compliance and sustainability initiatives. The analyst will have the opportunity to work in partnership with our LRQA global teams in order to meet customer expectations and execute against our SOW obligations. The position will help to represent the customer externally with supplier and service providers and internally with LRQA delivery teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Client Management and Engagement

      • Collaborate with the Program Manager to create the client’s supply chain facility assessment plan
      • Working closely with our clients, including category, sourcing and merchandizing managers to support their social responsibility program
      • Engage with client suppliers to provide guidance on their factory and facility responsibilities and outcomes of performance evaluations, sharing expectations, making proactive suggestions, addressing questions, and supporting the successful execution of our services services  
      • Maintain the client’s social compliance assessment plan tracker, and post-assessment, develop follow-up assessment plan or improvement activity for the client’s facility
      • Work closely with LRQA’s Assessment coordination team to include various global department teams
      • Utilizing LRQA and the client’s data systems, continuously maintain a proactive approach to anticipating and resolve issues
      • Continuously monitor the execution of the assessment plan, communicating and engaging with the client and the client’s multiple vendors
      • Contribute to reporting and performance analytics in order to align and provide excellent customer service per our Service Level Agreements (SLA)
      • Keeping systems and trackers up to date, accurate and available for our on a regular basis
      • Guide and work closely with a global team of staff within LRQA supporting the client to meet expectations and SOW obligations
      • Ability to travel for business development and client meetings as needed.
      • Willingness to communicate during non-traditional working hours

 

Key health & safety responsibilities:

Eliminate or minimise employee exposure to risks by regularly reviewing the health and safety risk register, applying appropriate controls, communicating results of risk assessments, and ensuring health and safety is considered in the planning and execution of all LRQA activities.

 

Manage your own, and your team’s, compliance with health and safety rules, instructions, systems and legal requirements to ensure employees are suitably trained and adequate resources are available to work safely.

Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:

    • Excellent written and spoken English;
    • A 4-year college degree;
    • 3 years’ experience in the Ethical Sourcing/Labor Compliance/Environmental arena either for a brand/retailer or service provider;
    • Analytical skills and ability to identify risk
    • A flexible attitude and ability to adopt and embrace changes quickly
    • Creative and entrepreneurial minded;
    • Ability to work independently;
    • Extreme attention to detail
    • High level of integrity and honesty;
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
    • Strength in writing and communication – individuals who make the complex simple, who can relate concepts with visuals.
    • Pro-active, self-starter with ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple projects across multiple stakeholders simultaneously, in a deadline-driven environment.
    • A passion for social responsibility and sustainability and excited to make a difference.
    • Understanding of the limitations of retail compliance programs preferred;
    • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
