What You Will Do
- Lead and mentor AP and AR accounting team members, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Manage the General Ledger through account review, analysis and reconciliations.
- Maintain responsibility for sales and use tax reporting, inventory accounting, preparing and posting journal entries and execute monthly close activities.
- Understand and update job cost data and burden rates while maintaining cost records for ERP administration and accuracy of the General Ledger as it relates to data imported from ERP and represented in financial reporting tools.
- Verify job cost reports against pricing and estimating standards to ensure profitability.
- Devise, install or control systems for determining unit cost of products or services.
- Manage accounting and budget reporting between the various business units.
- Manage monthly consolidation of financial and accounting data from multiple locations.
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Review wage computation and standard costing for WIP and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies on financial statements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ERP related issues relative to financial reporting.
- Plan and execute ERP system upgrades and testing in collaboration with vendors and IT teams.
- Address user inquiries or issues and provide training to users on ERP system functionalities.
- Stay informed about changes in GAAP and other government regulations that apply to the accounting process.
- Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Cross-training to support other accounting department functions.
- Work closely with the Accounting Manager, Controller and Principals and other Directors on special ad hoc projects when necessary. Assist the team with any other tasks or duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business and a minimum of five years of accounting experience and/or training, preferably in a manufacturing or service industry. CPA is a plus but not required.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of financial management and job costing.
- Experience working in both ERP and accounting software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Experience with Power BI and Great Plains is preferred.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and good organizational skills.
- Must be analytical and detail oriented.
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of professionalism.
- Communicate ideas verbally and in writing to influence decision makers and report findings.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Must be results driven with strong ethical conduct.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment and work independently.
Schedule:
- Full-time, regularly scheduled to work 40 hours a week.
- Monday – Friday, 8-hour shift.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually depending on experience
