This position is responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service while creating value to ensure new and existing patients are prepared for their patient experience. In addition, the Orthodontic Administrative Specialist provides general office support with a variety of day-to-day administrative office activities as well as several clerical tasks.

Job Functions:
· Greet and check in patients
· Confirm patient appointments
· Collect insurance information
· Schedule appointments
· Follow up on no shows/cancellations
· Work unscheduled treatment list
· Prepare patient charts by accurately transferring and recording data to Practice Management System
· Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances as well as follow up on payment plans/failed payments and insurance payments
· Possibly train as a backup treatment coordinator
· Confirm insurance coverage and frequencies to determine copays
· Communicate referral and consult information to other offices
· Follow up on progress of referrals and consults
Experience:
· Knowledge of dental insurance plans and dental terminology
· 1 years of dental/medical or equivalent front desk experience
Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
