Machine Operator β Cultivation Facility
Position Overview
The Machine Operator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and oversight of machinery used in the production and processing of cannabis. This role ensures that all equipment functions efficiently and safely while meeting production targets and quality standards. The Machine Operator will also assist with routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor cultivation and processing machinery, ensuring efficient performance.
- Conduct regular maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs to prevent equipment failures.
- Assist with assembly, calibration, and setup of new and existing machinery.
- Follow all safety protocols and SOPs related to machine operation and cannabis handling.
- Record and report operational data, including performance metrics and maintenance logs.
- Work collaboratively with cultivation, processing, and facility teams to optimize workflows.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and coordinate with maintenance staff or vendors for repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all state regulations, facility policies, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Prior experience operating machinery in a cultivation, manufacturing, or industrial setting preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, safety, and efficiency.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with trimming, drying, or packaging machines in the cannabis industry.
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or other compliance-based environments.
