Position Overview:
The Ultrasound Supervisor oversees staffing and daily operations of the Ultrasound Department, ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates for quality imaging, quality control, and quality assurance. This role involves performing clinical procedures, supervising clinical instruction for students and sonographers, and contributing to the development of Radiology policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations and staffing for the Ultrasound Department.
- Ensure regulatory compliance for imaging quality, equipment, and patient records.
- Perform clinical procedures and oversee sonographer education.
- Assist with budget management, long-range planning, and departmental goals.
- Provide off-hours phone support as needed.
