We're seeking an exceptional associate to join our venture capital firm, focused on identifying and supporting the next generation of transformative technology companies.
About the RoleAs an Associate, you'll play a crucial role in sourcing, evaluating, and supporting early-stage investments, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. You'll work directly with founders throughout their journey, from initial pitch to scaling their businesses.
Key Responsibilities- Source and evaluate early-stage investment opportunities in the AI/ML space
- Conduct thorough technical and market due diligence on potential investments
- Build and maintain strong relationships within the startup ecosystem through active participation in tech conferences, meetups, and community events
- Work closely with portfolio company founders to help refine their product-market fit, go-to-market strategy, and overall business development
- Support deal execution processes, including financial modeling, market research, and investment memoranda
- Collaborate with our global team across multiple time zones, including significant interaction with our India-based team members
- 3 years of hands-on engineering or product management experience at high-growth AI/ML startups
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Past experience of working on AI/ML products
- Track record of building and maintaining strong professional relationships
- Experience working in cross-cultural, global teams
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours to collaborate effectively across global time zones
- Prior work experience in a venture capital firm is preferred.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- Experience working with or within the Indian startup ecosystem
- Understanding of South Asian markets and business culture
- Prior experience in venture capital or startup investing
- Passion for early-stage company building and founder support
- Natural ability to build authentic relationships with founders and ecosystem partners
- Strong conviction in investment theses with the ability to back it up with thorough analysis.
- Genuine interest in emerging technology trends and their potential impact
- Comfort with ambiguity and rapid learning in new domains
