Your Role :
Responsible for overseeing the Facility, Membership & Programming at the Mojave Fitness Center to ensure smooth operations and reports to the Project Manager. Responsible for participating in programming and events in order to ensure optimal performance. Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards. Provides safe, motivating, and effective exercise instruction with excellent customer service skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to motivate others.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Oversees all facility operations, membership, programming, social media, marketing
Staffing- work closely with Director of Operations (they oversee staffing) - 20%
Coordinate staff schedules and coverage
Assist Director of Operations with hiring / onboarding regularly
Train staff on all club procedures and job duties
Membership & Customer Service - 30%
Accurate tracking, reporting, administration
Focus on retention strategies and new memberships
Communication to new, current, and canceled members
Upsell personal training / other services during sign up process and schedule fitness assessments
Add members to our newsletter when they join
Provide excellent customer service
Facility tours
Making outbound calls to schedule tours and follow up on prospective members
Create monthly membership goals
Regularly audit and revise procedures to ensure are up to date and accurate
Community Outreach - Work closely with the Regional Director of Business Development - 10%
Scheduling and attending physical business visits and initiating email / phone contacts
Membership promotions / marketing
Focus on new business relationships / members with outreach
Corporate memberships
Program promotions / marketing
Ex : regular stretch breaks, 1-week free, stretch & safety presentation
Research companies in the community and surrounding areas
Administrative - 30%
Prepare monthly income statement
Review, file & report personal training for all staff in Google Drive - submit to Project Manager
Review & file check requests for contractors in Google Drive - submit to Project Manager
Create agenda for monthly meeting with Project Manager and Elevation Team
Prepare and complete quarterly report - Membership & Programming
SWOT & COE
Host and run weekly staff meetings with onsite team - create agendas before each meeting
Equipment Maintenance and Management - 5%
Overall cleaning and maintenance
Organize / prioritize equipment request list
Audit cleaning and equipment related trackers to ensure compliance
Schedule and coordinate quarterly equipment maintenance
Assist in coordinating annual programming plan
Teach group fitness classes - 5%
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform other duties as assigned
Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Publisher, Google drive and inbox
Emergency protocols
What we are looking for :
Certifications :
CPR and AED required
BS in Exercise Science or related field - preferred
Personal training certificate - preferred
Group exercise certificate a plus
Experience :
Previous experience in personal training and teaching group exercise preferred
Wellness & Nutrition coaching is a plus
Skills :
Excellent communication skills, Google Suite, and Canva
