The Pool Manager works closely with the Fitness Manager, Fitness & Pool Director, Fitness Specialist and lifeguards to provide personalized customer service and fitness programming through out the fitness center and pools, and every day is an opportunity to make an impact with this highly engaged community!
The Pool Manager offers highly-personable customer service within the Fitness and Aquatics Center, provides aqua group fitness instruction, supervises the use of the Aquatic Center, and coordinates with their team of lifeguards to manage the monthly pool schedules and seasonal lifeguard training.
Must be Pool Operator Certified and Lifeguard Certified and/or willing to attain certifications promptly upon hire.

Your Role:
Oversight of aquatic center (both indoor and outdoor pools) and aquatic center programming- Recruitment, hiring, training and scheduling of all Lead Lifeguards and lifeguards (aquatic center staff)
- Maintains certification tracking of all lifeguards and Pool Operators, and aids in scheduling recertification for pool staff
- Performs all lifeguard responsibilities including monitoring the pool area, enforcing rules, ensuring safety of patrons, water rescues, and administer proper CPR and First Aid as needed
- Develops and implements emergency procedures, and ensure staff are trained to respond effectively to incidents
- Maintains a safe and clean aquatic facility by enforcing safety guidelines, conducting regular inspections, and addressing maintenance issues promptly
- Performs regular maintenance tasks to ensure mechanical efficiency
- Routinely reviews and analyzes pool chemistry and communicates with Patriot regarding pool chemistry treatments and preventative maintenance.
- Maintains and prepares pool usage reports for the General Manager and Committee’s review
- Provides fitness center coverage during winter season
- Other duties as assigned
What we are looking for:
- Certifications:
- Must have current CPR/AED certification
- Lifeguard certification (or must be able to obtain within 2 months of employment start)
- Pool Operators certification (must be able to obtain within 2 months of employment start)
- Experience:
- At least 1 year experience in a supervisory role
- Experience teaching aquatics fitness classes preferred
- Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
