We are looking for a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Teacher for a position near Beaufort, SC. This opportunity is available for the 2024-2025 school year and will be eligible for renewal if desired. Compensation for this position is lucrative and negotiable and pays significantly more than a traditional school-based role. Requirements:
South Carolina Teaching License/Certification
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teaching
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent Collaborative skills in working with staff, students, and families
Excellent skills in assessment, data collection, and interpretation
Demonstration of high ethical standards
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students.
- Manage classroom dynamics to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with special education staff to design and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Utilize various teaching methods, including technology and visual aids, to enhance communication and learning.
- Conduct assessments and collect data to evaluate student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student development.
