We are looking for a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant for a position near Leonardtown, MD . This opportunity is available for the 2024-2025 school year and will be eligible for renewal if desired. Compensation for this position is lucrative and negotiable and pays significantly more than a traditional school-based role. Requirements :
Maryland Teaching License / Certification
Master's Degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent Collaborative skills in working with staff, students, and families
Excellent skills in assessment, data collection, and interpretation
Demonstration of high ethical standards
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and progress.
- Provide speech therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques and interventions.
- Collaborate with educators and healthcare professionals to support pediatric patients in school settings.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and data collection for reporting purposes.
- Educate patients and families about speech and language development and strategies for improvement.
