If you share this dedication and want a chance to make an even bigger impact, you’ll thrive here.ABOUT THE ROLE : (PRN)The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for the patient in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and the nursing standards of care (assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status.MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS : Promotes and practices the Sage Family of Companies philosophy and mission : To provide the absolute most compassionate, comprehensive, and qualified care to people with life-limiting illness in order to serve them through their individual journey with dignity, respect, and integrity.Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill perioperative patients.Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs.Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiological stability, including but not limited to serving in the first assisting role.Monitors the effectiveness of interventions.Facilitates the patient’s transition within and between health care settings, e.g. admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools.Performs all other duties as assigned.ROLE REQUIREMENTS : Graduate of an accredited school of nursingGraduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner ProgramCurrent Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) LicensureCurrent Nurse Practitioner certification in specialty areaCurrent provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPointMinimum 2 years’ experience as an RN requiredCoverage Locations : Utah County- Draper, South Jordan, West Jordan, SandyBecause those who care deserve more.Whether you are already in the care sector or looking to take your first step, we offer a unique opportunity.
