We are looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Manager to join our team and independently manage all aspects of billing, insurance claims, collections, and revenue operations.
Position Summary
The Revenue Cycle Manager will serve as the primary person responsible for managing the entire revenue cycle, ensuring all billing tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. This includes submitting insurance claims, tracking payments, handling collections, and providing detailed financial reports to leadership. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently to ensure the financial health of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
• Billing and Revenue Cycle Management:
• Independently handle all aspects of the revenue cycle, including insurance claims, client invoicing, and payment processing.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of claims and proactively follow up on denials, discrepancies, or unpaid claims.
• Client Payment and Collections:
• Monitor and manage client accounts, including issuing invoices and following up on overdue balances.
• Implement and maintain a collections process to minimize outstanding balances.
• Insurance Claims Management:
• Submit and track insurance claims, ensuring compliance with payer requirements and resolving any issues promptly.
• Maintain relationships with insurance providers and stay updated on policy changes and regulations.
• Financial Reporting:
• Provide regular and detailed financial reports to leadership, including revenue trends, outstanding balances, and payment performance metrics.
• Audit the billing system to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
• Process Improvement and Compliance:
• Identify opportunities to streamline billing workflows and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and insurance requirements related to billing and revenue.
Qualifications
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management, or a related field.
• Experience with mental health billing and Medicaid preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of insurance claims processes, CPT codes, and payer requirements. Strong understanding of facility billing for Medicaid MCO plans.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software (e.g., SimplePractice, EHR Your Way, InSync).
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
