Elevator Install/Service Mechanic
Location: Birmingham, AL
We are seeking an experienced Elevator Install/Service Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting scheduled maintenance and inspections to ensure that equipment meets specifications, maintaining records of inspections, assembling elevator cars and connecting car frames, troubleshooting malfunctions and replacing damaged equipment, and overseeing the installation of new elevators.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections to ensure that equipment meets specifications
- Maintain records of inspections
- Assemble elevator cars and connect car frames
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and replace damaged equipment
- Oversee the installation of new elevators
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in elevator installation and service
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
