What You’ll Do
The BIM Technician is responsible for supporting the design and execution of projects by utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology. The position is ideal for individuals passionate about digital design technologies and seeking opportunities to innovate within a collaborative environment.
This role focuses on creating, maintaining, and updating BIM models. This individual is involved in producing accurate BIM models based on design documents and assisting in the creation of construction drawings. Core responsibilities include applying design changes to BIM models, collaborating with project teams to resolve technical issues, and ensuring compliance with project-specific BIM standards.
Responsibilities :
- Collaboration : Works closely with design teams, architects, and engineers to integrate designs into BIM models.
- Technical Expertise : Proficient in using BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks) to produce models.
- Problem Solving : Resolves day-to-day modeling challenges and ensures the accuracy of models.
- Level of Responsibility : Operates at the project level, focusing on execution tasks.
- Leadership Role : Typically works under the guidance of BIM managers or project leads
- Training Role : May assist in training junior staff on modeling practices.
- Reporting : Reports to BIM Managers, project managers, or team leads.
Your Qualifications
Education : Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Experience :
Technical Skills : Proficiency in industry-standard BIM software (e.g., Revit) and related tools.
Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective team collaboration.
