What You’ll Do
At Elevatus, our financial systems are the engine that enables us to power forward. We are searching for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to ensure our finances remain accurate and powerfully informative. This individual will have both an immediate and lasting impact on company operations, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to drive financial strategy, optimize cost savings, and strengthen our financial position.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial reporting, budgeting, excel skills, and compliance to support strategic decision-making. They will also stay informed on financial regulations, ensuring compliance and advising the CFO on necessary actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Oversight: Review and reconcile the general ledger accounts, investigating discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
- Close Processes: Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Billing Management: Collaborate with the CFO to manage monthly billings process.
- Process Improvement & Systems Optimization: Implement efficiencies within financial processes, leveraging technology and AI software solutions to streamline workflows.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy completeness and while adhering to GAAP.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant with five to seven years of experience in accounting.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, conditional formatting, data manipulation, and power pivot for financial data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional initiative to analyze financial trends and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Personal integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
