Position Summary: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a regional sales strategy that results in new business opportunities and relationships. The position will be responsible for identifying and assessing opportunities in both private and public sectors that match our expertise. Assist in RFP response and client management. Environmental Remediation projects may include demolition, excavation of hazardous waste soil, construction of remediation systems, and/or various types of civil construction restoration.
In This Role, You Will:
- Utilize candidates’ existing network of Environmental Professionals to attend business development meetings with clients. Meetings may consist of phone calls, online meetings, in-office visits, lunch meetings, and/or brownbag presentations
- Attend various Environmental organization meetings (GRA, PEMA, SAME, etc.) to contact potential new clients and foster relationships with existing clients
- Manage opportunities using a CRM tool
- Assist Estimating and Proposal Group during RFP response process by verifying accuracy of content and alignment with client goals
- Assist Estimating and Proposal Group with competitive analysis during RFP response process
- Work with Principal leadership to potentially develop new business opportunities strategies
- Provide “client management” as projects are constructed and assist management team with handling clients’ needs
What We Require:
- Five or more years of experience in the environmental industry, including working in some capacity with environmental professionals performing environmental assessment and remediation
- Demonstrated understanding of environmental remediation, demolition, and other construction trades
- Bachelor’s degree from university or four-year college
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be willing to spend limited time in a construction environment onsite with exposure to dust, noise, and inclement weather
- Must be willing and able to travel extensively to job site locations as assigned to work onsite
